Swimsuit Rights

Chris and Adrian doing it all and doing it right. Partial drum sets, full drum sets, keyboards, guitars, bass, violins, sitar in a box, vocals, contact mics, wine bottle cymbals, sauce pan toms, plus some. Their sound changes and it's never boring. Dig through the layers. Remember Nore and Sheerness? These guys have multiple 3in CDRs available through them or right here. They play shows all the time. Bakersfield.

Missouri Triangle

Andrew Pegg plus guests all the time. The only time he played solo he botched it! Sloppy, so it goes on stage but he likes his songs so how can that be denied? Creator of the 4ft by 3ft by 4ft plywood bass drum played via sledge hammer. It shakes whole houses from outside of them. Acoustic drums kick, remember. It's heavy though. Got a venue/house with a big clear doorway? He'll play. Seriously. Bakersfield.

Family Coat

Members of Swimsuit Rights (short and dark) and Soul Steppers (tall and light). They play guitars, smash cymbals, and control delay pedals like no one ever spends enough time to learn how to. They are a no show band but there are rumors that this will change soon. Full length cassette out now. They are also working on numerous splits with exciting bands from Oregon eastwards as well as a release for a Japanese noise label, Calligraphic Tapes. Musically self-described as "fuck black dice" (early black dice of course). Bakersfield.

The French 77's

Katie and Melea. Acoustic guitar and acoustic bass respectively. Tight songs and melodies with sugary vocals and lots of hooks. A little angry at times but mostly playful. Ever smiled sweetly while listening to a story involving a necessary killing? They formed in Santa Cruz but somehow one ended up in Costa Rica while the other flew to Oakland. Can't wait to see them back to playing shows. They cover songs and make them better than they ever were. Promises.
